A GOOD Ofsted Judgement for Parkgate!

Pupils and staff at Parkgate Primary School are celebrating a GOOD judgement by Ofsted in January this year. The school impressed inspectors and secured a GOOD judgement in every single category. This is especially pleasing as the the inspection framework is much tougher than it was.

Inspectors highlighted that "pupils’ well-being and care are at the heart of Parkgate School." Leaders were praised for creating "a truly inclusive school" and that "they have high ambitions for every pupil and want them to be the best they can be."

The behaviour of pupils was complimented by inspectors who commented that "children at this school are a delight" and that pupils are "courteous, welcoming and friendly." They added that "lessons are calm and orderly".

Inspectors noted that the school has implemented "an ambitious curriculum that offers a wide range of subjects for pupils to study" that "pupils achieve well" and that "teachers plan interesting lessons."

Leaders were praised for ensuring "that the provision for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is at the right level to help pupils to be successful." Inspectors described how "pupils’ personal development is promoted very well."

Ofsted commented that "Nursery and Reception children settle well in school" and that "they enjoy learning and playing in the classrooms and in the excellent outside spaces."

Our congratulations to all at Parkgate Primary School for securing a well deserved and positive Ofsted judgement.
